Industries served
We only take work in sectors where we already know the machinery and the regulator
Depth beats breadth in MSME advisory. We turn away work outside these seven sectors, because generic advice is worth roughly what it costs.
Services
Six practices that plug into each other
Most clients start with one — usually funding or a growth diagnostic — and layer the rest as the business gets bigger. Each practice is priced and scoped so it can stand alone.
How an engagement runs
Six stages, and a partner in the room at every one
No pyramid. The person who scopes your engagement is the person who presents the recommendation and sits in the credit committee meeting.
Discovery call
Forty-five minutes with a partner, not a salesperson. We ask what you are trying to build and tell you whether we are the right firm. About one conversation in four ends with us saying no.
Scoping note
A two-page note: what we would do, what you would get, what it costs, and what we need from you. Fixed fee wherever the scope can be fixed. No slide deck, no retainer you cannot exit.
Diagnostic
We rebuild your numbers and walk your plant. This stage is deliberately uncomfortable — it is where we find the constraint that is actually binding rather than the one everybody talks about.
Recommendation
Options with full financial models, a ranked recommendation, and the downside case at 70% of plan. Presented to you and, where relevant, to your board or your lender.
Execution
We stay on the file. Filings, tenders, site reviews, credit committee meetings, commissioning. Our work is not complete at the report — it is complete at the outcome we agreed to measure.
Measured handover
SOPs, dashboards and a trained internal owner, then a review against the three numbers we agreed at the start. If they have not moved, we say so before you do.
Case studies
Measured outcomes, including the ones where we said no
Every case study below states the numbers we were held to. Three of them involve us recommending a smaller project than the client wanted.
In their words
What clients say when we are not in the room
Collected at engagement close, published with written permission, and not edited for flattery.
Two banks had already said no. Anuradha's first act was to tell us our own project was too big — which was not what we wanted to hear, and was the reason the third bank said yes.
We had board approval to spend seven crore on a second plant. They spent four weeks with a clipboard and found most of the second plant inside the first one.
My father's worry was that we would industrialise the taste out of it. They ran a sensory panel on his mohanthal in the first week and made that benchmark the specification.
Every consultant we spoke to wanted to talk about exports. They spent the first six months on certification and residue testing, which is the boring answer and the reason the orders did not fall through this time.
The first report we paid for was a beautiful book for a plant we could never have run. This one was smaller, and the bank believed it.
We were discounting harder every season and wondering why the money never arrived. The fix was owning the guest — and the monsoon, which we had always treated as the off season.

A partner reads every enquiry. You will get either a calendar link within one business day, or a straight answer that we are not the right firm for this.
